Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the base:

    • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

    • Mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter.

    • Press the mixture firmly into a greased 8×8 inch baking pan.

  2. Bake the base:

    • Bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool.

  3. Add caramel layer:

    • Pour caramel sauce over the cooled base, spreading evenly.

    • Optional: sprinkle chopped nuts on top of caramel.

  4. Add chocolate layer:

    • Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.

    • Pour melted chocolate over the caramel layer, spreading evenly.

  5. Chill:

    • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chocolate is set.

  6. Cut and serve:

    • Use a sharp knife to cut into bars. Enjoy!

  • For extra crunch, add a thin layer of crushed pretzels under the caramel.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
